RomânăMihăileni Reservoir has complex water management functions in Brad area, Hunedoara county. The reservoir provides the necessary water for the population and the mining industries: Q = 810 l / s of which 620 l / s for industries and 190 l / s for the population of Brad and Crişcior and other consumers downstream the reservoir.
Electricity generation: 1.2 GW / year.
The reservoir has also a flood defense role, protecting the Crişul Alb meadow area on the Mihăileni – Vaţa sector.
